It All Began with a Melody

Coming Spring 2025, It All Began with a Melody is an original feature length movie musical with music by Phoebe Neilsen. The film takes place over the course of one Fall day in Western Massachusetts and follows a pair of long lost lovers - Bee (Isabelle Anderson) and Adrien (Dylan Schor) - as they find themselves on the brink of reconnection. Alongside their mutual friend Cameron (Aaron Williams), the characters must reckon with their romantic pasts as they journey on a collision course towards one another.

The film, which is complete and will soon be entering the festival circuit, was a true community filmmaking experience. Made for a budget of under $5000, it brought together filmmakers, musicians, actors, dancers, visual artists, and more, with the goal of producing a tribute to the artistic experience, to young love, and to Western Massachusetts.
